Peer Review Process
The review process combines double-blind reviewing and open reviewing.
The editors will assess whether the submission is eligible for review. After this formal assessment, if positive, the submission will be sent to two external referees.
Under particular circumstances, we may return to reviewers for further advice, or we may ask for the opinion of a third reviewer.
Based on the review reports, the editors will make one of the following decisions:
- The submission is rejected. In this case, a written explanation will be provided.
- The submission is accepted with revisions. The author will have the opportunity to rework the manuscript, taking into account the comments of the referees and the editors. After the author's revision, the editors will assess the manuscript and make a final decision on publication.
- The submission is accepted.
The whole review process will take no longer than six months.
Publication Model
Media Mutations Publishing adopts a continuous release model, issuing new academic volumes as soon as they have successfully completed the peer-review and editorial process. This approach allows for timely publication while maintaining rigorous scholarly standards, in line with established practices among academic book publishers.
